Welcome to our other MinistriesBereavement Group - for people grieving losses. The group meets when needs arise. Carillon Devotional - Every Sunday people from Quaker lead a devotional at Carillon. This occurs in their chapel at 2:00 p.m. Carpenter's Kitchen - an opportunity to provide a meal to poor families in the community. The meals are provided at the Youth Outreach building, northeast of Broadway Church of Christ. Christmas Musical - Every other year Quaker performs a Christmas musical. College Ministry - Weekly Life Group devotionals are offered along with special fellowship times. Days of Rest - One Sunday a month, following the morning service, we share a home-cooked meal and then dismiss for the day. All are encouraged to devote time to family, friends and renewal. Divorce Care - Ministry for adults and children who are dealing with the issues of a divorce. Drive By Blessings - Everyone gathers to develop groups and visit some of our elderly members. Easter Event - Special presentation on Easter weekend. Faith Chronicles - A family based Bible study program, designed to help young people develop a chronological understanding of 48 key biblical stories. Parents notebooks, student journals and resource lists are provided. Family Faith Development - family based studies for young people who are considering baptism. Fellowship Meals - small group fellowship gatherings that occur monthly in people's homes. Food Voucher Distribution - occurs the third Thursday of each month, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in our Family Center. Funeral Food Committee - provides meals for families grieving a loss. House of Prayer - time where small groups devote time to prayer, usually led by our shepherds. Ladies Bible Study and Prayer Time - On Wednesdays, prayer time is from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m., then the study begins at 6:00. Men's Prayer Time - meets Sunday mornings at 7:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. Over 55 Luncheon - meets the third Thursday of the month, at noon, in our Family Center. Patchwork Families - Intergenerational Bible based activities that occur in our Family Center on selected Wednesday nights. Prayer Time with Elders - Devote time to praying on behalf of the congregation. The group meets in the Conference Room Wednesdays at 9:15 a.m. Ronald McDonald House Ministry - Teams provide meals for residents at the Ronald McDonald House. Special Ladies - Single ladies of all ages are invited to a lunch together once a month. Dates for the gatherings are included in the newsletters. Summer Excitment - Quaker Avenue serves as the host for this annual leadership camp for Jr. High and High School students. Youth Events - Jr. and Sr. High meet weekly in a Life Group. Special events are announced as the semester progresses.
